MISSION AND PURPOSE

The mission and purpose of the La Joya ISD  College and Career Center is to provide students  a variety of opportunities in a non-traditional environment that is necessary for students to acquire knowledge and skills, develop values of responsibility, and respect for self and others which will enable students to meet graduation requirements and become college and career ready.

 


 

GENERAL CRITERIA

Residents of La Joya ISD who are at least fifth year senior and:

  • Did not pass one or more sections of EOC
  • Are missing 5 or less credits
  • Meet HSEP criteria

THREE PROGRAMS OFFERED

  • Students between the ages of 18-21 who lack five or less credits and/or any section of EOC

 

  • Students between the ages of 22-26 that may lack up to 10 credits and any section of EOC

 

  • HSEP – Students between the ages of 18-21 who have less then 8 credits in high school.  Two years have passed since they first entered their freshman year of high school (must have government issued ID)

  • Flexible Schedule
  • College Classes on site and at STC
  • Dual Enrollment Classes
  • College Entrance Exam Preparation
