La Joya ISD School Board Approves School Actions Aimed at Driving Academic Excellence, Addressing Enrollment Decline, and Ensuring Financial Stability
At its January 21, 2026, board meeting, the La Joya ISD School Board approved school actions aimed at improving academic quality, addressing a decade-long enrollment decline of more than 8,000 students, and ensuring financial stability. The decisions followed months of analysis and community engagement involving over 935 stakeholders and are intended to better align resources, strengthen academic programs, and support student success across the district.
